Every now and then when I'm hunting through thrift stores for things that I can make into other things, I run into a thing that is perfect as it is. This little soap dish appealed to me so much with it's whimsical shape and aged patina, and for $1, I just couldn't pass it up. I'm using it as a business card holder on my desk now. I was curious how something like that might be viewed as a collectors item, so I looked it up on eBay and found someone selling one for $15! So, sure, it's not particularly useful, but for $1, the whimsy it provides is worth it.

Girl you have to hook me up with some good thrift stores, I usually go to uptown on the south side, but lately they don't have very good stuff. Since we are opening the studio in Norman I need some goods!
