Martha Stewart
While out shopping last week I picked up a copy of Martha Stewart's cooking school book. I found it for $10 at Ross! I'd been hoping someone might buy if for me for Christmas, since it was $30 in book stores, but for $10, I figured, I'd treat myself. WHAT A BARGAIN! This book is amazing.
Say what you will about Martha, but she has an amazing group of people working for her and the way this book is set up is GENIUS. The pictures are amazing. She often shows each step in the process. For instance, with Hollandaise sauce, there are 7 pictures of the process. I have been using my Joy of Cooking for years as my standby for "how-to" on just about anything, but I really think this cookbook might take over. It doesn't cover EVERYTHING that Joy of Cooking does, but it has a wide breadth of recipes and techniques which I am very excited to try.
I will, of course, document anything particularly notable and post photos here. In the meantime, get thee to Ross and see if you can find a copy for yourself!
